Govinda Naam Mera Review: After watching the past performances of Bollywood industries, I expected this movie to be similar in terms of flop, repetitive content, and family drama-like movement, but this movie completely surprised me. When it was announced that Govinda Naam Mera would be released exclusively on Disney Hotstars, every cinema lover assumed that it would be a super duper flop and a time-pass movie, but this movie slapped all those negative thinkers. We were completely misled, and this film is currently one of the most intriguing in the Bollywood industry.
The Movie Govinda Naam Mera revolves around the lead character “Govinda” and his single goal in life, which is the transfer of his old house which can be transferred anytime to his stepmom family. A lot of court cases to own his old house, a lot of comedy sense, and some hidden mysteries.
His wife is also a hindrance to him, who is her boss. His wife is “Govinda’s” biggest foe, having openly dated another person in front of him and demanding Rs. 2 crore in exchange for a divorce.
Govinda, on the other hand, is not regarded as a sincere/honest husband; he has a personal girlfriend who is his dance partner and wishes to be his life partner.
The biggest twist in this film is the discovery of abandoned amounts of drugs in someone’s car by Govind. His wife, on the other hand, was murdered by someone and her body is still missing.
The plot of the film revolves around this, with interesting comedy, drama, and romance. But the climax had some incredible suspense.
This film is unlike any other that I have seen. I recently watched Freddy, which gave me similar vibes. Such movies are considered rare in Bollywood, so I hope to see such upcoming films in the future as well.
Regarding the main plus points, Kiara Advani gives her all-time best performance in this film, in my opinion. Surprisingly, I had never seen Vicky in such a film before, but he also did not disappoint. One of the film’s many strengths is its ability to transform from drama to comedy to suspense. The movie screenplay never makes viewers feel bored. The screenplay is considered fast and understandable by the majority of the audience.
Minus points: Bhumi is regarded as one of the best actresses in Bollywood, but her role in this film is subpar in comparison to her previous work. Moving on, the songs aren’t good enough for me; I’m looking for a superhit movie that can connect with the audience.
